Meet The Team

Sarah   BA(Hons), QTLS, ATS, PGCert

 My training and qualification from Dyslexia Action of the Postgraduate Certificate in Structured Teaching Intervention for Dyslexia and Literacy; enables me to teach individually tailored lessons to meet learner’s dyslexic or SPLD needs.  Support has been lacking in this area of the country for specifically targeted dyslexia/literacy support; it is time to tip the balance in favour of learners, through interventions that support success.

As a teacher I have supported and encouraged learners to develop and proceed at their own pace to achieve success in their learning.  My vision for a learner of any age is to access their learning environment confidently.

I have over 20 years experience in education, teaching academic and vocational qualifications including Mathematics and Engineering.  I am passionate about supporting learners to grow their potential and tackle their barriers to learning.  With this in mind, I have undertaken extensive research into the presentation of dyscalculia in learners of all ages and developed teaching techniques to support them in overcoming these barriers.

I provide targeted support for learners, matched to their needs and dedicated to improving their experience of education and its outcomes.

Exceed is a tutor service, based in the South-West. We founded Exceed on the premise that any inequality in learning can have far reaching effects in a broad range of life options. We focus on the individual and tailor our work to meet their needs, helping them to overcome the barriers that they encounter.

Exceed aims to serve the community through collaborative working with its learners, educational establishments and businesses, promoting learning and development at all levels and at any age.  We seek to encourage people to engage with learning and personal development and ensure they have the necessary skills to empower them to succeed.

Confidence is the cornerstone of success, and literacy and numeracy form the core skills for academic success and employability. Our sessions aim to build confidence that will empower learners to exceed.
